We analyzed over 1 million Upwork clients to figure out that the juiciest freelance opportunities are not necessarily coming from the US.
Most of the jobs on Upwork, indeed, come from the United States. But how much do they pay?Â
What if we take a look at the Spending Among Clients from Different Countries?
Quite surprisingly, the United States is only ranked #9 among average client expenditures with $93,400 per client, barely beating Hungary.
The list is unexpectedly dominated by Dominica, Gibraltar, and Estonia where clients spend at least 2X of what US clients spend on average.
What about the average hourly rate?
The US didn’t even make it to the Top-10 of Average Hourly Ratepayers by Country.
